When I was thirteen years old, I went to Bali Island with my parents. We took a trip to relax ourselves. So we went to the sea in Bali and went snorkeling. We were in a holiday mood and filled with excitement. However, when we were snorkeling, suddenly, there were turbulent waves. At that time, I found I couldn’t control anything and floated away far and far by waves. Luckily, the lifeguard saves all the people.

  After that, I see life in a different way; it is so precious that it deserves to be cherished. And at that time, when I felt despair and thought I couldn’t be with my family anymore, I vowed if I could survive, I must spend more time with them. Now, I am carrying out my words.

My name is Yu-Chang Ting. It was named after a city, Chang-Yi which is very significant to me. Why is this place so important to me? Because when I was little, my parents were usually busy with their own work. During the summer or winter vacation, no body had the time to take care of me, a naughty child. So I would be sent to Chang-Yi where my grandparents and cousin lived. At that time, I usually played the hide-and-seek with my cousin in the temple. (I didn’t know it is impolite at that time.)When I was hungry, my grandparents would cook the”frog soup” in order to restore my vigor. I seem very disgusting, but it is really good for health.

Now, I grew up. I don’t live in there anymore, but I go to Chang-Yi to visit my grandparents sometimes. Every times I went back there; I will recall the great memory in my childhood. Everyone is innocent and treat others with their hearts. I cherish the memory of those days and always keep it in my mind.

     There is a sad story behind this picture. After college entrance exam, I want to change my hair style in order to change my mood and avoid someone saying about me “I pretend to be cute.” So I had my hair permed. After my hair was permed, I have a good mood with a smile. But this innocent child didn’t know what a stupid thing he did then.
  On the first day I went to school, everyone looked at me and then laughed at me. At that moment, I knew something wrong. Since this, I have had many new nicknames. someone called me poodle（red VIP dog）, nest or coral reef. At that time, I feel so sad because my hair costs me NT2000 dollars.

 In the English class last week, I was taking a nap because what the teacher taught was too boring for me to stay awake. Then I had a dream. In the dream, I was an English teacher teaching the class. I taught with great efforts, but I found no one listening to me. In other words, everyone in my class fell asleep. I flew into a rage and thundered, “Wake up.” At the same time, my teacher said the same words to me. I felt very embarrassed.

  After that, I never fell asleep in class anymore because I put myself in teacher’s shoes and realized how frustrated a teacher would feel when you tried hard to teach students, but no one concentrated in your class. It was a dream that taught me a great lesson.

  Gray got a birthday gift from his good friend. He was very happy because he has longed to have his own dog for a long time. He named the dog Nash after his favorite basketball player. And then, he strolled with Nash in the park. After walking fop a while, he found the dog disappeared in that the collar was too loose. He was very sad. Although he has been together with Nash for a very short time, he knew he likes him so much.

  After he looked all around over the park for Nash, he still found nothing. When he went back home with a tired body and sad mood, he found a cute dog waggling his tail to him. It was Nash. He was too happy to say any word to express his mood. And he said ”I will not leave with Nash anymore .”

  One day, a five-year-old, Candy played alone in the park. When she felt lonely, a deserted cat came up suddenly. Candy thought the cat was quite cute so she played the ball with the cat and named it Sweet. While she scratched Sweet, she found a lot of wounds on Sweet’s body. Therefore Candy decided to raise and take care of Sweet herself. Then, she came back home quickly and asked her mother for her permission. Candy’s mother also thought Sweet was so unfortunate and decided to keep her.

  After that, when Sweet strolled with Sweet, she found more and more deserted and pitiful cats in the park. Candy sympathized with them so she took them home and good care of them. Day after day, more and more cats were kept by Candy. Although sometimes the cats were very naughty and messed up the house, Candy still felt happy to see the cats leading a happy life.

  John plays a very importsnt part in my life. I am only two years older than he so we spend a lot of time together and share our secrects with other.Of course, we sometimes have a dispute between us, but soon we forgive each other. Then we grow more attached to each other. However, you may ask me to describe the person who plays a sigficant role in my life. I would tell you if you ever see me before, you can imagine what he looks like. John has so small eyes that if he laughs, you may be unable to see his eyes but only his sunshine smile.

  He has a positive philosophy toward life. Once you get together with him, you will be infected with happiness, hopefulness and restore your faith. In addition,  he is outstanding in school work, which gives me a lot of pressures. Yet, thanks to the pressures, I study harder to perform as well as him academically.

  On Valentine’s day, Lisa was preparing for a romantic dinner for her lover called Gary. When  her dog smelled something delicious, it runed into the kitchen and wiggled its tail to beg food. Lisa sayed, “doggy, you could not eat these dishes because they were prepared for my honey. At that moment, the dog was disappointed, but something scaring happened.

  An ugly gorilla appeared in Lisa’s kitchen. Lisa was shocked and screaming. But the strange thing happened, this gorilla sayed human lauguage. It sayed,” I love you.”suddenly. When Lisa came to from scare, she sayed,”Ha, I love you, too, Gary.” And then Gary Gave beautiful roses and sayed, “Let’s eat our Valentine’s dinner.” They did not know in the chaos the smart dog catch the chance and eat up all the food. Lisa say,”What a naughty dog.” As aresult, Lisa and Gary ate out. It is a happy ending for the dog, Lisa and Gary.
